Dog Population Management Guide

The International Companion Animal Management Coalition (ICAM Coalition) is made up of several leading animal welfare organisations including IFAW, HSI and World Animal Protection. Together they have produced a range of useful guides for NGO's and government bodies.

The aim of this document is to provide guidance on how to assess dog population management needs and how to decide upon the most effective and resource-efficient approach to managing the population in a humane manner.

The document contains details on the initial data collection and assessment, the different components of a dog population management programme, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. There are also tools to assess dog population management needs.
