Ukraine Pet Aid Project
Helping animals in Ukraine survive the crisis
For the last 2 years we have been working with trusted partners across Ukraine to deliver practical, lifesaving support — food, emergency veterinary treatment, sterilisation clinics and shelters repair. Our approach is long-term and outcomes focused: preventing suffering now and reducing future need through sterilisation and local capacity-building.
Our impact so far
We report measurable results from our Ukraine work: in 2024 we donated tens of tonnes of pet food, funded shelter repairs and supported mass sterilisation and veterinary treatment campaigns. These activities feed hungry animals now and stop future litters from being born into hardship.
Impact figures for 2024
81,900 kg of pet food donated
1,471 dogs and cats sterilised, vaccinated and microchipped
105 animals given veterinary treatment and funds used to repair animal shelters.

What we fund
Sterilisation clinics
Mass, high-volume sterilisation is central to humane population control in crisis settings. Working with experienced veterinary teams, we organise and fund multi-day clinic missions aimed at villages, towns and shelter populations where the impact is greatest. These clinics cut future suffering, reduce disease and ease pressure on overstretched shelters.
Shelter repairs & emergency veterinary care
We fund repairs and targeted rebuilds of damaged shelters so rescued animals have safe, dry places to recover. Emergency veterinary care — from wound treatment to lifesaving surgery — is provided through trusted local clinics and partners. These practical interventions make immediate, measurable differences in animals’ lives.
Food distribution
Even where ongoing solutions are needed, food aid is a vital emergency response: it keeps animals alive and gives them the strength to recover. We use local supply chains and established volunteer networks so food gets to animals quickly and supports the local economy at the same time. Our in-country partners and volunteers coordinate distribution to reach street animals and small shelters.
