Sunflower: Velvet Queen (organic)

The Velvet Queen Sunflower is a bronze-orange variation of a traditional favourite.
It is very attractive – growing medium high to around 1.7 metres. It appeals to bees and butterflies and is a great long-lasting cut flower.

Sow from April to May outside or earlier in pots in a greenhouse. Keep well-watered.

Plant out when first true leave have fully formed. Allow 30 cm between plants.
Flowers between July and September.
